Last night i travelled from chennai to bangalore-ticket booked through red bus.
It was the worst in my lifetime. After spending a huge money (rs.600 for non-ac; 2+1; non-air suspension). Where as volvo ac 2+1 in kpn is rs.500. And ksrtc is rs.450. Just understood how badly these guys cheat everyone. Just because people will definitely spend on a sunday night travel to get back to work.
Red bus online booking, telephonic customer care was fine. Infact very good. But the private travels these people have tied up with-are the worst.
The bus i was given a seat was jabbar travels which looked like a vehicle waiting for the painting. It was twice caught by the rto cops midway between chennai and bangalore, because it looked like a vehicle without a fitness certicate(fc).
Started at 11.15pm and reached bangalore at 8am via hosur. Worst of its speed. The seating layout in the red bus online showed something. I booked a single seat. But the actual seating layout in the bus had a different numbering and i was made to sit on the aisle seat of the twin seat.
And the driver took the vehicle into all towns to get more passengers even after the seats were are full. The bus got packed with passengers on the aisles. No one can walk.
Ultimately i figured out that the real fare varies between rs.300 to rs.400 for passengers who booked the ticket directly from jabbar travels.
How can we trust red bus now. I would have rather taken a moffusal bus to vellore and another from vellore to bangalore. Which would have costed me just below rs.150 and would have had a better comfort. Because all these moffusel buses are almost empty after 12 midnight.
Hard luck to red bus and all their passengers.
