Dear redbus u should stop taking indian consumers for granted now. U publicise offers such as refer and earn, first hotel bookings, discount on hotels(RBAPP75) and other bus offers promising cashback but never pay it out. Seeing the number of complaints u have on social media it is no surprise that others too have had a similar experience. I think it is high time you are reported to the Council for advertising standards for running fraudulent schemes and also for class action suits for civil and criminal liablities.


The most recent example was my hotel booking   voucher ID T17BE3198545 and booking ID HTLJUQDPEU for one night stay on 15th Nov 2017 at Kochi. I had booked the hotel using redbus’ much publicised coupon code RBAPP75 which promised me discount in addition there was to be 20% cashback into the wallet. Inspite of my raising the complaint redbus did not credit the account wallet. Initially redbus said no wallet is associated with the account so cashback cannot be granted. Then said the contact number added for receiving the SMS was different therefore cashback will not be granted.


Redbus please reply


1) If u don’t want the SMS to be received on a different number why is there an option for CONTACT phone number while typing in the details of the booking.


2) Do you mean without the OTP and password just by typing some other persons phone number in the contact information one is deemed to be using the other persons account? Without at any point having logged out of self account and without having logged into the account of other person is not an assumption fetched too far and without logic., meaning thereby that just by entering your CEOs number or ur number I am supposedly using your account! Unbelievable


3) Why is this not disclosed in the terms and conditions that editing the phone number in the contact information will make one ineligible for the offer


4) If still you say it makes you ineligible why discount was given? Shouldn’t the whole coupon be invalid then. Why honour half the coupon and conveniently sidestep the other half as promised.


5) One executive said it is the app flaw, should the customer suffer for your fault.?


6) Kindly teach some manners to your customer care executive DIPIKA, She only reveals her upbringing when she raises her voice behaves rudely with the customer. Listen to the conversations
