I had booked a ticket for my son Mr Dhruv Negi vide ticket no TGB992422298 from Bangalore to Kochi on 21 Oct through Redbus by Kerala Ways Bus departing at 2115 hrs.
However it was at 1301 hrs on 21 Oct 14 from a mobile number 9880861812 that the bus has been cancelled and they will provide an alternate bus. Regrettably The alternate bus was not a multi axle bus 2X2 and the operator is demanding Rs 200 extra.
With repeated no of unsuccessful attempts, I could get in touch with the helpline nos of redbus and conveyed my displeasure and also requested to cancel the ticket and refund the amount. Mr John and the other person confirmed to me the same will be done in 24 hrs.
In addition getting in touch with the helpline is such a Herculean task that you may miss your bus in case you are shown an alternate bus just an hour before departure. once connected, you will continuously be told about you waiting position to talk to the telecaller. I was 49 and moment it came to 2, it got disconnected, not once but thrice. While browsing through the FB page of redbus I realised that there were many others like me who shared the same ordeal.
The support team of Redbus now tells me that the operator has confirmed that the bus was not cancelled. Mr John the tele caller executive when informed also said that he would revert in 15 minutes but didnt and also said that he was putting in a request for cancellation and I was to send a mail on support@redbus.in.
I would advise all readers to visit the redbus page on facebook and the number of posts on this page only strengthens my belief on the kind of service redbus is providing and the number of unsatisfied customers it is creating.
