Redmi has been doing a tremendous job with its number series and the Note series. This time Redmi has moved a step further and launched the Redmi 10 Prime in the midrange segment as compared to its predecessor which was in the budget segment. Its a very good offering by Redmi and offers true price to performance value.
Lets review this smartphone on a few important parameters:-
Design & Display - Redmi has again gone with the Evol design which it has used in the Note 10 series and it gives the phone a familiar look as the Notes series. Redmi 10 Prime comes with a 6.5inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Yes, its not an AMOLED screen but Redmi has provided a very good IPS LCD display that too with a decent refresh rate.
Camera - Redmi 10 Prime features a quad-camera array consisting of 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The camera app comes loaded with a lot of features which you can fall in love with. The primary sensor clicks decent enough photos in this price segment and provides good details as well.
Performance - Redmi has used the Helio G88 processor to go with in the Redmi 10 Prime. Its a decent enough processor which can handle daily tasks perfectly and also decent gaming can be done.
Battery - The Redmi 10 Prime comes with a huge 6000mAh battery which can easily last more than a day or so. The not so encouraging part is that the phone only supports 18W of fast charging, 33W would have been a better choice but cant complain much in this price segment.
So I would say that Redmi has done a very good job here with this smartphone. The Redmi 10 Prime comes loaded with decent hardware and software experience and becomes one of the top choices for consumers in this price segment.
I hope this explanation helps in making the correct decision.
