IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING

Hi friends I am another customer rightly defined by someone ’’kusto se marne wala’’. I too am the so called ’’pidit’’(in Hindi) of a phenomenon which I call brand myopia i.e. our inability to see anything in a product if it has a good brand name. It all started one year back when I was planning to purchase a new pair of sports shoes for casual wear. I went to an outlet of Reebok wherein after a lot of rigorous exercise I selected a model a new one and purchased it for 3490/-. And believe me it’s a substantial amount for a PG student like me. All my pleasure and pride came crashing down when after wearing it for a week the front part of sole started loosening, obviously I went back. The retailer with a very indifferent attitude told me we have to send it to head office in Mumbai and it will take fifteen days. Mind you Reebok calls itself to be number one in India. If this is the service by number one… no wonder why it’s not the number one in the world. Fifteen days passed I went to the shop and ask for the shoe he told me you can change the shoe it took him fifteen days to allow me my right who says governmental organisation are slow this is what is done by the number one. Ok still Reebok and brand myopia made me not to ask my money back I selected another pair but it was of 2990/- and I have to purchase something worth of 3490/- no refund a selected a T shirt. Three months went by but again the same problem front upper part of sole tied to the body of my shoe started leaving its leather. I again went back again fifteen days were told but it took twenty days and it was repaired I was really upset by that time I asked the owner till when will you do this repairing he told till the shoe is in warranty period ok I said now its nearly one year over and again the same problem but I wont go back neither will I purchase any of the Reebok’s product.

I unfortunately don’t have a money tree in my back yard. I need value for what I pay and if that so called number one cant provide me best quality product service experience and satisfaction I will rather happily go for the number two. With no hard feelings or compromise will I switch.

’’IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING’’ yes my Reebok experience can be best summarized in this punch line of theirs may God bless the brand and its promoters.
