Reebok Shoes Highly Unreliable

I had purchased a pair of Reebok shoes from the showroom with the following address

Reebok Showroom Address:

Reebok Store

No 2016, 100 feet Road, Indira Nagar

Bangalore, Karnataka 560008. O n 2nd August 2009. There was a 40% discount given on the MRP and a 3 months warranty which I thought was a good deal.I was also told that there is a 3 month warranty given with the product. However on 18th September 2009 when I was running I fell down and the mesh of the shoe got torn on account of the stretch it was subjected to after I fell.

Initially I thought that its a sharp object which might have torn the mesh but had that happened, my foot would have been injured too or the socks I was wearing at that time be torn as well. However none of that happened. Besides the way the tear looks is as if its torn because of the stretch applied to it and not due to a sharp object. Had it been a sharp object, the cut would be a clean one and would not have small shreds of fabric pointing out indicating its torn on account of the stretch it was subjected to.

I went to the showroom from where I purchased on 19th September 2009. They said that they need 8 days to sort it out. I told them that I cant wait that long and after persuading them for a good 20 minutes or so, they said that they need some time and will have the issue sorted out ASAP

When I went there on 21st September, they started telling me that it is a wear and tear and nothing can be done. I spoke to their senior manager on phone and he said that he will see what can be done. The next day they called up from the showroom and told me that their product department has rejected a replacement and they can do nothing except return back the torn shoe. I left the shoe there itself telling that I don’t want the shoe back from them. I even emailed this to the Reebok customer care and there was no response form it. A brand like Reebok is such a poor customer care service. I seriously regret making this purchase.

I would recommend all the readers of this review not to go in with a Reebok product as they are highly unreliable and have poor customer service. I have attached pictures of the torn shoe as well along with this review. If you readers feel this review is useful please rate it.I am publicizing this because I do not want others to share the same experience as I did. I got the corporate email of Reebok on the below url and mailed there as well on 24th October 2009. As usual there was no response from them till date
