When I heard of John Denver’s end in a plane crash, Annie’s Song started playing in my head. I think everyone knows this number...if you haven’t, you are missing something.
I first heard this when my aunt brought me my first music system with a collection of John Denver’s songs....all random but all were very good. I remember crying when this one ended and its driven my folks crazy whenever I play it...for the same reason. :)
Annie’s Song is THE perfect Valentine’s Day number but on a personal note, I would not suggest this song to be used casually because it touches your heart, no matter what you might think now. Listen to it and let it in and you will know what I mean.
I usually play this when life gets me down and let my imagination go....ah, hope has to stay alive, na?
If I made Eric Segal’s Love Story all over again, this would be my theme song for the movie. Perfect, isn’t it?
