I booked this hotel considering that it was run by the Welcomheritage
Group, which is part of ITC, and the description on its website.
However, when we reached the Hotel, we discovered that the website is
nothing but a bunch of lies. The place was simply inhabitable. I had
driven to Ooty from Bangalore and decided to drive back to Bangalore -
it was that bad. We could not even think of staying there for a day. I
drove 600 kms in 17 hours just because of my mistake of booking this
hotel.
The hotel offer the following, against the promises:
A stinking room, which you can’t stay in even for 5 minutes
Heritage experience - 140 years old upholstery, stains, smell
Ameneties - You can watch all the amenities in the Fernhill Palace hotel or other hotels. Nothing in this one
My
sincere advise even if you are thinking about this hotel - just don’t
stay here. Not even if you are paid for it! I am sure you will fall
sick if you spend a night here.
