I have taken a virtual office in Regus for 1 year contract. While taking the contract the persons told you can cancel the contract at any time and it will not be charged(except 2 months) and everything and signed a digital contract. I would like to do a name change for my virtual office and they asked me 2k more to do the same.
So I have told then I will wait till 1 year and then do the name change and do a new contract since I am already in 9th month.
I thought they contract will end in 1 year, so that I can do a new contract. But they kept extending the contract for another 1 year without my knowledge / notice of emails. But they will send lot of emails regarding polling questions etc. but for renewal they haven’t sent me a single email.
And when I asked they asked me to check the agreement. and the have point number 2.2, 2.3 of the agreement saying it will automatically extent. But I have mailed them on 9th month itself to do a name change or cancel the agreement. But nothing happened. After lot of queries I have asked to end the contract.
But now they were telling I have to pay the next year full amount also to end the contract, which is not started at all. Seems to be they were not good and cheating a lot.
I hope I need to file a complaint legally to come out of this situation.
Please check their agreements before signing, because they will tell everything like you can do close your contract anytime etc., but its not true.
