I bought HP Laptop and there was an offer of PC Internet Card on this product. HP’s free offer was to be provided by Reliance Ltd . I sent a mail to HP for redemption code. HP sent the redemption code which confirmed by the service provider at Mahavir Tower, Lalpur Ranchi. This service provider was far off from my place of stay so I opted the nearer one on Club Road, Ranchi.
On contacting Reliance Web World , Club Road, Ranchi I was informed that it will be provided by them on payment of Rs. 3704/- with unlimited surfing for three months and download of 1.5GB per month for three months and can be used throughout the country. On inquiring that I wiil be at Jorhat in Assam they said you can use it freely. Mr Pankaj of Web world Club road , Ranchi asked me to fullfill the formalities like address proof, identity proof etc. on 15/01/07. Then I went out station and came back to Ranchi on 23/010/07and contacted the Ranchi Web World at Club Road and they assured me that the Internet Card has arrived and to collect it.
I went there to collect it but to my dismay they were unable to provide saying that Pankaj is on leave and my papaers are with him and they are unable to find out. Then they assured me that tommorrow i.e on 24/01/07 at 11.00am they would deliver me at my house. I informed them that tommorow I am leaving for Patna at 1.20pm and they assured it will be delivered without fail. I waited till 12 noon but nobody turned up. then I rang them up and Pankaj who told me that I have to come and collect it which was not possible because my flight was at 1.20pm.
Then there was heated disscussion. then I left for Patna.
Then I called the other service provider Web World at Mahavir Tower Lalpur, Ranchi and he agreed to supply me the Internet Card. Then Pankaj called with the lame excuse that the redemption code was not available with him. How one service provider in the same city has the redemption code and the other doesnot have? Then another untruth was told by Mr Pankaj that their redemption code doesnot match with the one provided by me. Then he made many statements which were untrue. Its like for hiding one lie people make many lies.
Now I have moved to Jorhat district in Assam and my Internet Card facility is not working and I am deprived of the facility and the purpose of my purchase has forfeited. I contacted Reliance at Jorhat and was informed that this CDMA facility is not available in the whole of North East. I will be over here for next few months and will be losing this money of the tune of Rs. 3704/- without availing the facility. More so now again I have to run to Cyber Cafes for accessing. How harassing is it, I only know?
I plan to move to the consumer court and take legal action for misinformation provided by the service provider.
So down with Reliance Infocom. Lets go back to the BSNL and Govt. provider atleast they are not liars.
