Tried and tested so many ISPs, from Dialup to Cable. None were this promising. Reliance Infocom recently launch Broadband service in my area and I had to try them out. Called up this sales manager (Mr. Uday, have to mention his name as he was so courtous and great service) and he got me a sales person immediately at my house. Looked at the plans and I had to go for the top most connection (the 300Kbps flat fee package). Now, this is 300Kbps dedicated DSL line. Gave a checque for Rs.500 for the DSL modem and no installation charges either. Two days later, my account was created and the installation took place. The technician made his way soon after the wiring was complete and converted my Cable Static IP to a DHCP recognized IP and vola, I was on the reliance login page. Logged in immediately and couldn’t belive my eyes. I had to talk to my parents immediately. We started a video conference on MSN Messenger and we couldn’t believe the speed we had. Parents have a 1.5MBps DSL line and I a mere 300Kbps line. But streaming video was sooo good, it was nothing I have seen ever before in India. Although this speed comes for a hefty price of Rs.2000 but the unlimited hours and unlimited download and upload data, makes it all worth that price. I believe in Quality always. If you can’t afford it, don’t have it but please don’t compromise quality for money.
