I was looking for a Broadband connection for my personal use, BSNL guys said they would take 3-4 months to give as there hub is full, Airtel doesn’t have feasibility and then only option left was Reliance broad net (Not Wimax). I always wanted wired broadband as with Wimax there would be some speed issues.


I called up the sales guy and he came to my house and said, I can give you the connection and I opted for 300kbps unlimited for 799+tax. I gave him all the necessary documents and INR 500 cheque., and he said it would take 3-4 days for the connection.


After 2 days I got a call from the field engineer and he saidam coming to your house in another hour. His 1 hour came after 2 days, I was pissed off, tried calling him several times and he would never respond me back.Finally I got the connection and the speed was super, I was getting 32-35kb download on torrents and 37-40kb upload speed.


After 2 weeks, when I came back from office, the connection was down and then I called up the customer care. Those people are so dumb that they are asking me to check the IP address am getting, I told them the DSL light in the modem is not blinking, it means the DSL line is faulty, they would still tell me, “sir plz do this”, I was like comon, when the DSL light doesn’t blink how will I get the IP address?


There reply was as usual “Sorry for the in convenience caused” and registered a complaint and said we would act on it within 72 hours. I waited for 72 hours and then I called back the CC, There reply was “sir, this case have been closed and we have received a feedback from the engineer that your connection is working fine, I was like what the @#$@ , No body has ever come to my house and my connection is still down., Then the CC said I would again raisea complaint and we will act in 72 hours, I told them again 72 hours????


I called them again after 72 hours, the female said “I will escalate the issue and someone would get back to you within an hour, I waited for 2 days for there 1 hour. I called them again and gave them my case ID, they said Sir I have escalated this issue and someone would surly get back to you within an hour. After 20 minI received a call from Mumbai office ( rapid resolution team) and said your connection would be up in 24 hours. Its been more than 1 week and the connection is still down. I have even stopped calling them now.


After 10days I received the bill for the full month, I called them up and said I haveused your service for 2 weeks and I would pay for those 2 weeks only, thefemale told me, we don’t know if you are making excuses, so that you don’t haveto pay entire months bill.. I was like I wont even pay for those 2 weeks now, Go to hell and I did a good thing that I had recorded the conversation., sothat it can work as a proof for me.


My friendssuggested me to make the payments for those 2 weeks which I did and also askedthem to disconnect the service and have also taken out the wires and hanged itoutside my window. I still keep getting the bill which I never even bothered toopen and see it!


Moral ofthe story : Never ever go with Reliance product, Mr. Ambani.. Don’t know whatto say but Reliance is going to doom really soon!
