Reliance Broadnet lacks quality and cust. support

I subscribed for the Reliance broadnet plan of 600kpbs on June 23, 2007. A few days later, there were a lot of instability issues. The connection would be stable for a few minutes and then disconnect. Reliance has a stupid policy of not allowing the user to log back in immediately after an abnormal disconnection. In these cases all the disconnections were caused by problems at their end. Hence a subscriber needed to wait anywhere between 10 mins to 4 hours to connect again.


I lodged a complaints in this regard in June, July and August. The most serious case occured when I was not able to get connect at all. I registered a complaint(no. 53077842) around July 27, 2007. Till today, I have not received a single phone call from them inspite of my continous followup with customer care. They have not fixed the problem till date.


There have also been other complaints that I registered with the customer care and received complaint nos. Now each time I try to followup regarding those complaints, they promptly give me a new complaint number and tell me that it is solving status. The scam is basically to depict better quality of service by prematurely closing older tickets and reopening them with new numbers. That way they won’t have to account for old tickets that were not addressed.


The customer service is at rock bottom. I have dealt with BSNL in the past and they are far superior. I am so sick of these guys.


Stay away from them!
