Go for BSES ! No download limits !

The download limits imposed by most ISPs are very less......100, 300 MB etc....considering the fact that a visit to an average website like Hotmail or Yahoo to check your emails will swallow up at least 1 MB with all the graphics and flash, multi-media and other stuff that are embedded in almost all the web-pages.

And if you are a serious surfer or downloader and regularly download mp3s, software, images etc.... the allowed limit will be over in a day ....thats the real truth of the matter, so don’t get fooled.........check the amount of data transfer restrictions placed by the ISP, thats the key ! Also dont forget that the restrictions is on actual data-transfer, that is both ’’upload + downloads’’, hence when you surf, about 30% of the total is for sending TCP-IP acknowledgements of your downloaded packets, hence if you have 300 MB transfer limit, about 30% of that will go in TCP-ACK packets upstream or about 90 MB, hence you will be able to download only 210 MB before it reaches the total 300 MB transfer limit.

Standard ISPs throughout the World give unlimited downloads at 128 kpbs at a fixed rated of about $20 per month (Rs 900) and don’t meter each and every byte like as if people are downloading gold !

BSES (Mumbai) and Primus India (Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Ludhiana & Kolkata) are the only REAL world-class ISP that gives unlimted download at 64 kpb , dont get conned by those who give high speeds at 256 or 512 kpbs and low limits download limits......its just a waste, the data download limit is the important thing ...so watch the amount the ISP allows very carefully !!! BSES & Primus India are the only two standard reasonable ISPs available, hence if they are available in your area you are lucky and should subscribe to them without hesitation. Remember - Dont get fooled by those who give high speeds like 256 kpbs or 512 kpbs but with restricted data transfer limits.
