Reliance broadband is completely useless

I moved over to Reliance broadband six months back. Now during this period, I faced so many problems that I have now decided to move over to some other ISP. I have listed down my experiences below:

  1. Customer service is just pathetic. If you report any problem to them, the answer is the same always - "We will look into it as soon as possible". Interestingly, that "soon" never comes and I was astonished to see that the problem tickets that they created get closed automatically at the end of the day irrespective of whether the problem is resolved or not. They probably do that to show to their  seniors that they have solved a case in one day, but the fact is that its only the ticket that got closed and the actual problem was never solved. In my case, when my internet was down for 2 weeks, I used to call them up every day and they used to close the ticket every night.

  2. Connection is not stable. If you plan to use this connection for working from home or you are expecting the connection to remain stable for a period of couple of hours, forget it. Its too high an expectation to keep with Reliance.

  3. Their billing department is not reachable. The only was is to raise a problem ticket through non-technical customer support people. Since my connection was down was 2 weeks, I raised a request for waiver but they declined it. The reason is very simple: they have an SLA to resolve the problem in 24 hrs and waiver is given if the problem extends beyond 24 hrs. Since all my tickets used to get closed by support team, in their records, my internet was never down for more than 24 hrs in a stretch.

  4. They are a trap, into which if you fall once, its tough to come out.

Hence I strongly recommend you not to go for reliance broadband.
