Save your money and your mental stability. Do not go for Reliance broadnet service. I have had this for the last 1 month, and already I am totally frustrated with it. The first few weeks the connection would go down due to no reason. Then after a few hours it would get re enabled. Whenever you call them up they tell you to do ipconfig renew. Also, this has got an irritating login required whenever you log in - and which you need to log out of before you shut down your system. I have a dual boot - windows and linux, and on linux it will not work unless you have logged out in windows.
Now, for the last 3 days it has not been working. I have called up the customer care around 5-6 times a day and all I get from them is that it will get resolved as soon as possible. That soon as possible is now 3 days. There is some issue with the line it seems to me - as even my phone is down. But when I tell customer care that the phone is also down, they tell me to call up another number ! Dont they understand that there is an issue with the line and not at my end ?? ?
Since I use my connection for official work, it means that I have had 3 days of downtime.
I am on a 999 , 300kbps unlimited plan. But whats the use if it will not work ?
Do yourself a favor - go and get some other connection.
