Pathetic Products & Service to say the least!


Had bought a Godrej 1.5ton 5star split AC on 17/04/2016 for which the installation was done after a week on 24/06/2016. Immediately after using it for 2-3 days problems started to arise out of the AC - water leakage both inside & outside, extremely loud sound, swing 2 not moving. Then after week there was NO COOLING at all even at the lowest setting of 16 degrees. Godrej wouldn’t service it since apparently it can only be done from Reliance end as installation was from Reliance.


After placing complaints several times with Reliance and finally escalating it to CS Head, the technician visited on 12/05/2016 &13/05/2016 and we came to know that not only is there gas leakage but also the outer unit is defective(huge hole in the outer unit body at the back). They hire third party vendors for installation who do not conduct simple gas leakage tests with soap water, etc and are so careless while installing that they do no check all these manufacturing defects because of which we consumers suffer like anything.


Have been chasing both the Reliance Digital, Inorbit Mall, Whitefield, Bangalore store and their CS Head like anything but still problem is to be resolved. They have told it will take 5 working days to get the entire AC replaced. Waiting for it & lets see when their "5 working days" comes. This is not the 1st time that we have faced problems with products bought from this store. Earlier we had purchased a Panasonic 42" LED TV and for that too there was issue with the audio. Only after escalating it to CS Head we were able to get the defective audio unit replaced after chasing customer service and the store for over a month and a half.


My advice is never to buy any products from Reliance Digital as they keep faulty products which they give on discounts and later consumers like us have to suffer. Also another problem is brands will not service the products bought from Reliance Digital as they will say Reliance’s ResQ team are responsible for all this. So at the end of the day we customers are the ones who suffer! Never ever am I buying any product from Reliance Digital even if they give 80% discount!
