I recently bought a Marvella RO water purifier system and a geyser from Reliance Digital, Gopalan Mall, Old Madras Road. Because the salesman pushed me very hard and gave me a lot of discounts for Rcare, I purchased it which gave me an extra year of warranty for the products. Also, the salesman said that Reliance has very good rapport with the product manufacturers and thus, if I go through them regarding any complaints, it will be promptly addressed by the respective companies.
The product was delivered only after 2 days. I was told that the water purifier will be installed within 24 hrs from the product delivery. I waited for 3 days and no one came to install the water purifier. I called the store and asked them why nobody came for installation. I was told that they would call me back in 5 mins after talking to concerned person. But, nobody called me. This happened 3 times and by then, I was fed up with them and talked harshly over the phone.Then, they called me back and said that a technician would come that day itself and install the water purifier. Nobody came. Next day in the morning, the technician called me and confirmed the address.
I asked him if he was from Reliance or Hindustan Pureit and he said he was from Reliance and he has already installed water purifiers before, so, he can install the purifier in my house. I asked him if he has the TDS meter to check the output water quality and he said he doesn’t have that!! I thought its ok, let him install the purifier at least. He said he would come in 1 hour. Then, he called me after 2 hours and said that he was close to my house and would come soon. Even after 3 hours, he never came.
All this time, from Reliance Digital store, they used to call me and ask if the technician came. I realised that they are completely out of sync with the technician. Then, I realised that I should have called Hindustan Pureit in the first place and not rely on RCare. I called them and asked them if they can send someone over for installation soon and within 2 hours, they sent someone over to my house for installation.
Even if you are buying anything from reliance Digital, please don’t go for the useless Reliance Care package. Reliance has never cared for its customers and this is just another case.
