Dumb people...dumb store

It was mother’s day. me and my friend thought of buying cellphones for our respective mothers. So (unfortunately) we decided to go to reliance digital thinking that we could get all the brands under one roof and it’ll be easier for us to compare different brands and choose one.


My friend bought a Nokia phone and I bought a Samsung. The salesgirl who was attending us promised us that if our mothers dont like the phones, we can exchange them. We bought the cellphones went home and my mom didnt like the phone....and now begins the real chaos..


we went to the store again and approached the customer service desk. the dumb guy sitting there hardly paid attention to us and simply said we dont exchange mobile phones. I told him that the girl who sold us the phone said that we could exchange..he answered "ok find the girl". I started looking for the girl and finally after 10 minutes of search I found her...told her the story and she said okay...let me look into it..she helped me select a new phone...this time I chose an LG.


She went to the customer service desk and tried to convince the guy. he finally agreed...(30 minutes have already passed). I asked the girl how long will it take now..she said "few minutes sir". Now...because the phone I had bought earlier was for price Y and this one was for price X, they had to create something called "Credit Memo" which took almost 30 minutes...once it was created, it was handed over to a guy on another desk who was supposed to create another paper (i dont remember the name of this paper) which also took about 10 minutes because his computer was not working.


Finally...the INITIAL formalities of exchanging the phone were done...now we went to the cash counter where it took 5 minutes for the cashier to calculate the difference between X and Y...once he did that he charged my card for the difference. "oh shit" he said..."i was supposed to subtract 60 rupees from the total amount which I forgot and I charged your card for full amount" I looked at him (annoyed) and aske "now what". he says..."sir, why dont you buy something for 60 rupees". I (by now tired and in a ’I-WANT-TO-GET-OUT-OF-HERE’ state) said.."ok recharge the new number for 60 rupees. he did.


guys its still not over...then he tells me "it is still showing 60 rupees balance..you have to pay 60 rupees more". I was like "WHAT THE F" how in the world you can ask me to pay 60 rupees more when you have just unnecessarily recharged my phone for 60 rupees because YOU owed me 60 rupees. after speculating for 10 minutes he said..."OHH you are right sir....its done"


DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE EVER. it is always better to go to the dealer of the brand you are willing to buy. (there was another woman who I overheard shouting at CS people because her refrigerator had a problem and they were not helping her out)
