We wanted to buy a refrigerator and microwave for us and were shopping for a good deal and visited many stores in thane area. We were attracted to Reliance Digital showroom as we had many products and different models under one roof. After 2 visits and spending around 30-45 mins each visit, we decided to buy Samsung Refrigerator and Microwave.
Checkout was smooth and I was committed delivery in couple of days for both the items.
Sales rep Mr. Rajesh kept microwave utensils pending as it was not in stock. He committed to deliver it within a week. Wait time for delivery was normal.. they delivered microwave first and then Fridge.
Fridge delivery was disappointed as it was delivered without box just in bubble wrap. I requested those delivery boys to open it up but they denied by telling that they were instructed not to open it unless their demo person arrives. So I could not check delivered product. For Microwave, I opened it myself and fixed it and started using it on same day without waiting for demo man to come.
After couple of days, the demo man arrived and to his and mine surprise, we found 2 big dents on fridge door. Demo man promptly reported back to office and asked me why I did not check at the time of delivery. Agitated me told him what was delivery team advised me. He promptly took pictures and went back that day.
Then the real drama started...it took 4/5 weeks to get the replacement of same model and brand. I used to receive at least 5-6 calls per day asking me the story with the delivered fridge. Reliance Digital is such a non-organized company which does not have simple centralized customer information system to track the delivery, issues etc.
Then there were advice to use the fridge with dent door till they deliver fresh piece which I strictly refused and we were without fridge for around 4/5 weeks. I followed up with store, tried to reach Mr. Rajesh over phone, heard not available in office , then he was sick, on leave etc... whenever I could get him, heard false commitments about delivery.
I was about to go to the store on a busy Sunday evening when store is full of potential customers and decided to give big shout about false promises. But luck was in their favor, I received a phone call that fridge of same model is available and ready for delivery. Finally it arrived at home with proper packing and good condition (yes, I opened it immediately). I gave a blast to the delivery boy who asked me about the original package box of dented fridge and refused to give the new to him.
Since fridge saga was completed, I moved to microwave utensils those were pending with them which I was following up for since its delivery date. Again same story of false commitment, promises repeated and after whole 1.5 months I had to drive to their store to get that crap set of utensils.
So a piece of advice from me, never buy anything from Reliance Digital. This company lacks organized delivery structure, sales guys cant keep commitments and poor support. You should go there only to check appliances of different brands and prices then buy from other stores to ensure satisfaction.
