This time I decided to renew my policy online.
For this purpose I registered myself on "https://reliancegeneral.co.in"
After registration I added my curreny policy to my online account(which I could see under "My Policies" menu)
Glad that I will be able to renew it online, I selected the "Renewal" option, and under it "Instant Renewal".
To my surprise there was not policy displayed under this. It gave a message "No Policy available to view."
A bit frustrated I decided to call the customer care.
That guy heard what I said, after some time he told me to select the "Buy Online" menu. Under this menu, I selected the "Healthwise" menu, and then finally I got a option of "New Policy" and "Renew Current Reliance Healthwise Policy"
Wait Wait.dont think that I was able to renew it after I got this option.
The main blunder was after this. When I inputted the required details, it showed me the premium cost as the same that I had for the first time policy purchase.(while as the intimation that I received from them mentioned new premium with 5% No Claim Bonus deduction)
It showed me Rs. 2840(as renewal premium), while the intimatiom letter from them shows Rs. 2698
My expectation was simple, that reliance should have shown me the latest renewal charges and not the amount I paid the first time(last year)
So I gave up and decided to forget about renewing it online and stick to the the basics of paper(cheque) which I will drop tomorrow.
