I am a practicing doctor. I subscribed to a RELIANCE HELLO Connection on 22 November 2006 after making the full payment of Rs 2487.00. From day 1, the Internet speed was very slow and much below what was promised.
Within 10 days, the connection simply went dead. I couldnt make any calls nor receive any. Why.even calls to their so-called customer care number were barred for no apparent reason. Dozens of calls from my other phone(non-RELIANCE) later, I was given the info that there was some "server problem" which would be rectified within 24 hours. However, the phone lay dead for over 3 days.
I was totally frustrated that I surrendered the connection on 12 December 2006 and requested for a full refund. The company took 4 months to "process" my request. At last, in April 2007, they sent me 2 cheques totalling Rs 401.00!
I returned the cheques to them as I was not willing for anything short of a full refund of my hard-earned money. Again last month, they sent me those very cheques! Again I returned them. The question is not that of a few thousand rupees- it is of trust and fair play. Who will compensate me for the money, time and effort that I expended for no fault of mine?
There are many other people in my circle of friends who have had such bad experiences with RELIANCE Telecom. Why does Anil Ambanis company cheat and defraud unwitting customers like this?
