Feature phones are here to stay. There can be many reasons but the most pertinent one is that a majority of people in India are still wary of switching to a smartphone. Call them stubborn but a majority of people in India ( especially in tier II, III cities and rural areas) still use phones for just the basics: to make and take phone calls. The good old feature phone serves them well. But the times they are a-changing.
