Reliance: downwardly mobile

I wonder why the reliance chaps call their service ’india mobile’ because in the first place, CDMA technology in india does not have the licence to be called ’roaming’service.

roaming is something that bsnl or other gsm operators provide you- it means you can travel with your mobile set across the length and breadth of the country with one single number, which is not the case for reliance.

here in lucknow the reliance people say if you have to go to kanpur say 80, kms away you would be given a new number and in case you got to another city be it delhi or mumbai-you need to have separate numbers. is’nt this silly. imagine yourself in between two cities-which number would you ask your pallies to call you on. isn’t this loony. is this the way roaming works. they should clearly tell the people reliance means limited mobility and nothing more.
