Poor Services of Reliance Infocom

*Do not Purchase RELIANCE INDIA MOBILE products or services.



Six months ago I shifted to Baroda. Before that I had never used any reliance telecom product.


In Jun I purchased 3 products from Reliance




  1. Classic Handset(Qty 2)




  2. Cell Phone Connection(Qty 2)




  3. Reliance data Card with Connection






Now the issues I faced were:




  1. I was told that the phone connections will get activated in 48 Hrs. One of the connection got activated in the given time but the other connection could not get activated for next 3 weeks(21 days). I made a lot of calls to various individuals and even contacted state level officers, but all I got was a commitment of 2 hrs to 2 days, but the problem could not be resolved. I infact gave threat of Police and consumer court but those people said, it’s your wish. I was using my roaming phone during that period and it was costing a lot. Finally they returned my money for that phone and took the phone back and told me to purchase a new handset from anywhere. Finally I purchased another set then only my connection was activated.




  2. I was told that I will get the speed of at least 128 kbps on my datacard, But when I started using it, I found the maximum speed of 2 kbps. I logged a complaints against it but no luck. Later on I came to know that it is due to network traffic in that locality but reliance people did not have any solution or timeline to resolve the problem. Then I sent an email to Mr. Anil Ambani and after 1.5 weeks I got a call from customer care. Then one tech person came to my home to see the issue but he could not provide any solution.




  3. Finally I disconnected this one and asked them to provide me a wired connection. I was told that it will be done in 5 working days. I keep following up those people, they kept on giving me assurance. And after 10 days they said it is going to take 10 more days. Now I was out. I finally could manage to get my cheque back and purchased the connection from another provider.




  4. I called up local personnels during this period to get the help, but then the day came when these people stop responding my phone calls or SMS. That was the limit of frustration. Their phone used to keep on ringing but they never picked it up.




  5. Reliance people do not provide any phone number of their personnels or webstore. Which means for each and everything either you call customer care or go to webstore. There is no way you can call them unless you take their telephone number by some or the other way. Even when you go to webstore, you will have to comeback sometimes without getting the workdone, becuase most of the times their server or application is down.




  6. When you call customercare, First of all you will find it engaged most of the time, now even if the call gets connected you will feel that all selected dumb people are sitting there. They do not have answers to your queries. They just keep on forwarding your calls. In the end you loose time and pessions with no success. Many times they disconnect the phone saying that the server is down please call later.




  7. You will get very good response from sales person before giving him cheque but once you give it, you are trapped.




  8. There is a lot of network issue. Many a times you are out of network even within the city.






Last word: Reliance has all the dumb and lazy people who are never bothered about customer issues. Their target is to just sale the product or service.


So this was my story. I suggest you all not to go for these products.
