Reliance is perhaps the biggest corporate player in the Indian society. It has a role and stake in all the aspects of an Indian citizen starting from food, entertainment, sports and telecommunications. We were using reliance prepaid for a long time and had to switch to Airtel via portability because of many doubtful factors.
Why we opted for reliance & the Likes
The brand name of reliance. Presence and marketing of reliance.
Dislikes
We have a list of dislikes:
We used to have reliance post paid and the billing was always dicy. The stipulated minutes of talking always seemed to get over very quick and they will give the documents, but you as a customer have a feel that you havent utilised that much talk minutes.
Once we switched to reliance prepaid, the usage went as usual.
Around couple of months back suddenly outgoing in reliance stopped working. Only incoming were allowed. In market it circulated that reliance mobile has been bought by aircell and to unlock the out going calls we need to do a recharge of Rs 11. I know many of the people who did that but there was still no outgoing. So what happened to all the 11 Rs recharge money.
While we were reliance prepaid customer, every now and then some message will come and say that Rs 1 is deducted for so and so service and we are left wondering - what service. Imagine Rs 1 from 50 million users every day!
All these doubts and no information on them finally made us switch to Airtel from Reliance. You will have many other options to choose from.
