Disclaimer: - This review is about an year old. Many problems may not be existing this time. I am not a RIM subscriber now. So I dont know anything about present situations.
I have cancelled my connection about 10 months before, giving up my 3000 + 1000 (deposit) and 40 rs per cheque and rs 750 as they told the battery is bad (the old battery is still using by one of my friends with out any complaints). Now I am happy with what I have done. Till now I am waiting for my postdated cheques and balance amount they have to redeem me back.

First I rated Reliance India mobile when I planned to buy the item. Then I edited my ratings when I received. Now after 2/3 months of usage now I think I have to share my experience.
Now I can say that dont opt Reliance. It wont worth you. They cant meet their promises in the money aspects or in the service aspects. I will list down the demerits.
Call charges.
Reliance to Reliance.....: Re 0.40/ minutes [<400 mins]
Reliance to Reliance.....: Re 1.90/ minutes [IC >400 mins]
Reliance to GSM Mobiles..: Re 1.20/ minutes [same circle]
Reliance to GSM Mobiles..: Re 1.90/ minutes [same circle]
Reliance to PSTN (fixed).: Re 1.00/ minutes [<50 KM]
Reliance to PSTN (fixed).: Re 1.90/ minutes [same circle]
Reliance to PSTN (fixed).: Re 3.00/ minutes [intr crl <500]
Reliance to PSTN (fixed).: Re 4.00/ minutes [intr crl >500]
Customer care
Customer care is absolutely NIL. I got only one call from them and that is too for the address verification. I have sent so many mails to the customer care and only 3/4 got answer. Then they dont have a toll free number in kerala and I dont know abt other states. We have to call Mumbai. Those persons sitting there is totally unaware of Kerala and we wont get required information most of the time.
SMS
Even though they are promising SMS to all GSM phones it is not up yet. I was unable to sent or receive any SMS from a service other than reliance.
Roaming
Since Reliance is not having licence for roaming they are providing temporary numbers for each place and for that we have to request numbers. This is really cumbersome. We have to pay for all incoming calls (addressed to our original number) re 40/min.
Handset
I am using LG Handset, which is real unprofessional thing. It will get heated up easily. The ring tones are good. But the ease of use is not that good.
R World
It is not that entertaining. It is free now but I rarely uses it. I am sure nobody will use that if it made paid.
I made myself a fool by taking RIM. So I advice all of you not to go for it.
