Reliance India Mobile started in India with a vision of providing cheapest cellular services of Indians. The aim was everyone would have ’’Roti, Kapda, Makan and Mobile’’ but even after more than one year of its launch, Reliance is not able to keep its promise. The service is not at all cheaper than other mobile service provide. In fact in most of the cases, it is costlier than them.
The network is not at all reliable. I get sudden drop in signal and after sometime, it shows full signal. I am staying hardly 500 yards away from the Reliance tower in Yelhanka in Bangalore and still the signal keeps dropping now and then.
Another problem is the support. You call the reliance people for any problem and they dont have solution. I have visited at least 10 times to Reliance Web Worlds and it looks like they are not at all educated about the services.
The biggest problem is the bill. I am still trying to understand the different line items of the bill.
And those who are using Reliance phone and not aware of this - you get billed even if a call is not successful. If you call a number (Other than Reliance Phone number) and if the phone is busy or there is no reply, you still get charged for that call. When I complaint about that, I got a reply that Reliance People or working to rectify this problem but I have already lost more than Rs 3000/- on such unsuccessful calls in last one year and by the time the problem is solved, I don’t know how much more I am going to loose.
