I have read so many reviews on the customer service aspects of RIL mobiles and have this feeling that there are to many dissatisfied customers like myself. I got roped into the DAPO offer as it appeared to be the most viable one at that point of time. So there we went.
More than a year and half down the line, I stand at a point where I feel deceived, cheated and agonised. There was never a faultering in my payments, then around late last year, I saw their bills getting inflated.
The charges towards R-World & Club membership were unworthy. So I appealed tpo them to stop the services and adjust my bills for the premium and call charges only. Nothing ever happened. They would religiously call up during the billing cycle every month & when asked about my complaint, promptly repeat their regular answer ’’we will revert in 48 hours’’, which never came by.
I went and lodged a written complain at their webworld in Jan this year & asked for settlement to close the conection, again the same response of 48 hours, never happened.
Finally, on 17th Jan , they sent me a legal notice through their advocates of initiating criminal proceedings if I did not clear the outstanding amt. of about INR 7000.00 to which I replied back promptly that the entire e[pisode was their fault & I would instead approach the redressal forums. On 30 th Jan, they sent for surrendering the handsets which I did with much glee and happiness and now I am preparing for lodging a case with the customer redressal forums.
I have decided to not let them go their way with absolute zero customer service and business ethics. I really wish all of us could join our hands so that many who do not have access to the net/ redressal machinery get benefited. They must learn the ethics if they need to stay in business, else its their choice, but as customers we shd never feel cheated, the money is too hard-earned to be wasted on service like theirs.
