After 4 years of usage of Reliance connection, I do not reccomend Reliance as good Telephone Service Provider, for the reasons as mentioned below:
*Objective:
*The objective of maintaining a telephone connection is to make and receive calls by a subscriber but Reliances malicious strategy in providing value added service is so designed that making mobile users financially injured, causing mental agony
Observation:
Every months Reliance Communications Ltd charges the subscribers for “Reliance Mobile World Usage” and/or “Reliance Mobile World Network Usage” - which are, many times, very much unreasonable and injurious to the subscribers for the reason that neither such a subscriber intended to use same service nor they were able to deactivate or stop in using the same service as Reliances policy is so maliciously designed that makes the subscribers vulnerable to incur said charges even when such usage is unintentional. The subscribers when raise this issue with Reliances customer support they were told a feed back has been lodged in this regard but the issue remains unresolved even after elapse of three or four months since lodging a complaint. The customers are forced to make payments for such unintentional usage.
*The Fact:
*The R World button in Reliance-Nokia 6275 Sets(may be many other sets too) is intentionally done by Reliance OR the relevant software as installed in the phone set was so strategically planned by Reliance that the same was developed in a fashion so that the "R World button" is placed right above the "Cancel Button" of the telephone sets in order to make a user to be vulnerable in pressing it unintentionally/mistakenly so that Reliance can gain from the exorbitant charges out of alleged rendering value added services to an innocent customer. There is NO approval/ confirmation dialog box comes in before logs in to the chargable R World service, as soon as the button is pressed, originally with the intention to press the cancel button, it logs into chargable R World service and stays connected(may be for hours in your pocked) if unnoticed for a long time. This observation is indeed a violation of fundamental usage of a telephone connection also raises a question about the ethical motive of Reliance in dealing with its subscribers. Here is one statement of account of alleged such usage in the current months bill received by the writer of this review:
• Reliance Mobile World Usage Rs. 396.00
• Reliance Mobile World Network Usage Rs. 11.50
• Plus Service Tax and Different Cess
The reflection:
In fact, the subscribers have lost their faiths in the ethical aspects of Reliance that since the date of establishment of relationship with Reliance the customers were made to developed a negative idea about this company that Reliance can not be trusted in ethical aspects and the ultimate motive of Reliance is to gain out of such exorbitant charges from the subscribers. The subscribers also believe that Reliance is not at all sensitive about maintaining its goodwill in ethical aspects but to earn money by hook or by the crook.
The Action:
A letter dated 06th August, 2008 submitted by the writer of this review, addressed to Reliances registered office, has been acknowledged on the same date by Reliances Web World Franchisee at Madhyamgram in Kolkata but the company declined to entertain the issue and asked the subscriber to pay the entire bill within due date of face disconnection.
The Prayer:
How can Reliance be trusted about such dealings with the customers? Is there any remedy available to an aggrieved user against said unethical act by Reliance?
Progress Updated on 03rd September 2008
Reliances policy is so prejudicially designed that they probably believe if a bill once generated can never be incorrect in any means or forms so there is no concept of reversal of a wrongfully charged transaction and corresponding taxes in their billing system. They rather believe that if a wrongful charge at all happens in a bill then making such mistake is their lawful right that(such erroneous charge) can only be adjusted in the form of waiver only but not in the form of reversal - though reversal is the normal practice in any financial accounting system, and by doing so Reliance behaves as if they are showing sympathy on a customer by giving a waiver to a disputed wrong charge but not a measure to admit their misdeeds.
According to SONY CORPORATION founder, “A customer is God” but probably according to present Reliance owners, “A service provider is God.” And such a God can never commit a wrong but can only show mercy upon so called slave like customers by waving erronious charges.
So I realise that India still is a dumping place and whatever one dumps that can be sold.
