As a Former Eee of the Telecom Industry (Name of the Company is undisclosed)
Need a Cell phone to Make/ ReceiveCalls with No tension Buy a Reliance handset I do not know about the Network in North India but In South India It is amazing as I and My friends travel around My H/S is the only one from which a Call can be M/R, from specific locations and Of course the Call Rates are Chepest.compared to Airtel/Hutch/etc..
This doesnt mean I am Approving the Reliance Brand...
It is upto the User to Decide the Right H/S and the network.
But As usual Problems Galore will be present everywhere....!!!!!!!!
As I am using the RIM since its Launch (earlier Prepaid Now in Post Paid) I am a Happy customer now,
Even I had Problems but the fact remains that if u got a problem then throw the H/S and the No. and go for a new one, Else U will be Bankrupt and Humiliated.
This applies to all the Brands..
BUT
If u Got some serious issues In RIM then Pls Do not go to the Customer Care *333 or any where where there is a Customer Care of reliance..
These People do not even know why they are Sitting around
For Eg., earlier I was in the plan NJ249SS which means New Joy 249 Super Saver
the details of the plan are
Monthly Rent : 249; Reliance to Reliance : 0.50 Ps Reliance to Other Mobiles : 0.50 Ps Landline 1.00 Re, etcl..
and There would be a free talktime of Rs 200 i.e 400 Mins for Calls made Reliance to Reliance.
Ok Just Call them ask the Customer Care *333 about the free usage amt they will tell u that there is no such free talk time.
Insist them that u r bill / Friends bill reflets the discount Charges in their bill as Free Usage
They will reply as "Sorry sir but that might be for any H/S charges or other Charges Sir"
What the Hell "MIGHT BE" is doing here
I know that reliance is having the most advanced Softwares and Equipments where all the details can be retrived but these CC guys do not know a thing about their co or the plans etc...
But most of the times No body knows about the Right Plans for their Usage.. or the customers Fall Prey to the Middlemens i.e the Franchisee people who are only intersted in Sales.
So do not beleive any one Use U R Brains. Who will give u free without profit, Is he u r boy friend or Girlfriend... ?
hence go thru the offers and ask more than 2 people who are using the network. Maybe sometime 10/10 people may say this is bad or the other way but the real truth is No where u can findthe perfect until u keep changing according to u r needs..
My Suggestion is If u need GSM go for Airtel
If u need CDMA go for the Reliance.
Reliance is best suited for callers with huge bills.
Eg . earlier my bills ranges in the slot of Rs. 800-1000 Rs. Per Month but after my change of Plan now for the same talk time in minutes I get in a slot of Rs. 300-500 so who is smart..
it is upto u to exctract out the best..
Dont get irritated with some Viruses (Customer Care or Middlemen) see the real fact..
Dont blame Reliance/Bharthi-Airtel/ any body for that matter.
Bcause u will get nothing but loose u r temper, Get BP, Waste u r Energy, Money & Valuable time..
But ofcourse u can give a try if u r in luck u r issue will be resolved by any good Eee. who knows the Loopholes to get u out of the WEB..
but do not waste u r time in going for Police & Court U will be humilated over there..
If u can come out of the well then there is an entire World waiting for u so dont waste the time in scolding those people..
Go for the change..

I change the above statements in respect to the Network Coverage,
Reliance who has the Own Network (Infratel) has gone from best to Worst.....
Numerous call drops and No signal has been my pathetic state over the past few months
see my reply to my complaint (note this was initiated by Reliance them selves after I wanted to convert to Prepaid)

This is absolutely what I received even for the before complaint...
You people never try to resolve the issue but infact increase the customers BP
I am facing thes issues even now.. No Reliance network is availabe at my office...
After complaining to you people the call drop too has been very high...
every time I need to redail atleast 3-5 times for 2 mins call to complete....
Anyways I am already in the process of shifting all my 5 Reliance Numbers to Airtel...

Take my words ... Reliance network needs to be properly upgraded to the requirement
Or else anyhow the DOT has laid a deadline of Oct 31st 2010 for the Number Portability
which will eat out majority of its cusotmer base...
