This month I happened to check my bill. I found there are gross errors in the bill. Reliance has charged me for all the missed calls I have given to the other party.
I specifically remember that I could not get through to my parents in the first 6-7 calls on a particular day. I remember this because my parents were in train where there was no network that they could receive the call or maybe if there was network, the phone was kept in the suitcase. So they could not hear the ringing.
I could connect to them only after I had tried 6-7 times and they had reached the destination.
And now when I receive the bill, Reliance has charged me for making all those 6-7 calls.
Another instance of forgery from Reliance is that, the bill shows that I made a call at 11:38:38 for 8 seconds , then at 11:38:56 for 45 seconds , 11:39;54 for 1 min 05 seconds and finally at 11:41:12 for 1 min 34 seconds.
I can agree that I must have made the last two calls, but as any sensible person would realize, is it possible that a person just calls up for 8 seconds and then disconnects, again calls up for 45 seconds and disconnect.
This is the height of fooling people. Infact If I had not subscribed to itemized billing, I would have not come to know their way of fooling people.
I have also noticed that my call timings start from the time, I start dialing and not when the person on the other side picks the phone. So may be if the person picks the phone after 10 rings, Reliance considers that the person has talked to the other party for this time duration.
I tried explaining the problem to the telecom billing department of Reliance. But the call center people blatantly refused any wrong misgivings on their part. Rather they were not even willing to understand the problem. They kept saying Reliance is not wrong.
Please suggest me on how to take Reliance to the court.
A grieved customer of Reliance
