I just read a review on the technicalities of the reliance scheme, although the points mentioned were very justified and true , as a dummy cell phone user (knowing nothing technically) I found the phone to be quite ok.
well I am not sure what people are negatively quoting about reliance phones, but I have been using the set for quite some time and it might surprise the critics but I havent really come across any negative aspects of it. yes it does warm up after using it for some time. When your talking on the phone the voice is very clear and I must add quite loud too. the network is also fine.
Nowadays, all the people I know own the reliance phone, so it becomes very cost effective to make a call as it offers reliance to reliance free calls facility. I have to admit inspite of being a commerce graduate I am not really aware of the price statistics of this scheme but it does seem cheaper to make outstation calls from this one then other phones. some initially complained about the embarrasment of carrying a 500 rupee schemed creamy complexioned device but now with nokia handsets available that too is pass se. although I paid close to 3500/- for the device only to be shocked at the 500/- schemes revealed later. it also provides you with a discount booklet offering various discounts at restaurants, home appliances, computer peripherals, etc.
sending sms is also ok although some friends holding the expensive nokia handsets say that the message received from reliance lacks clarity in content. but all said and done, I have been using the set for quite some time and I would rate it on a count to ten at atleast 7-8. It works like a normal household phone offering the convenience of mobility along with the comfort of localising it in other cities.
I feel reliance is surely heading towards their target of ’’Karlo Duniya Muthi Mein’’!
