What can we say about reliance?? Almost everything they do, they do more hungama than what they actually do. I have big tv from them and I have their postpaid connection which I took only because I can to my parents in another state who have a reliance prepaid for free.
The coverage is good, especially because I work in the outskirts of chennai - siruseri. I have a postpaid airtel too. Comparatively I in fact prefer airtel because even when the signal is decent in office I can happily make calls, but even if the mobile shows good signal reliance phone keeps breaking the voice and clarity of voice is pathetic.. Even in velachery area (in chennai)which is a good residential area I dont have good voice clarity. So the purpose of taking it to call my parents only ends up asking the same question - What did u last say?? :-((((
I heard a saying about BSNL - Even if u stand under its tower, u dont get signal. Not sure if that is really true, but I can say one thing about reliance. Even if you have the best phone and if the signal is full, even then you cannot hear other persons voce.
And on top of all this, the customer service of reliance is pathetic. Their customer service reps dont know minimum basics of english and dont have any courtesy and decency towards the customers. This applies to both mobile and big tv too.
Overall, I would strongly NOT recommend reliance mobile unless it is ok to you to ask this question 100 times in just 5mins of call - What did u last say???
Update Apr 2013: As fate cud do, I came to reliance once again now in Andhra pradesh. Same problems, worst customer service... As long as u dont get into problems, reliance pre-paid is ok. But once u have a problem, like losing money for some VAS for which u never enrolled for, their website says 90 days validity for a pack, but when u buy it, u get an SMS saying it is only valid for 28 days... the customer service is not going to fix it for u...
RELIANCE is the most UNRELIABLE company...
