Good Service

I have been using a Reliance FWP for the past year or so. My overall experience about the service is satisfactory and much better as compared to BSNL.


I wanted to have a reliable service. Reliance had deployed an extensive optical fibre network all over India. Optical Fiber Network would definitely help. CDMA is a reliable technology and the way ahead.


I need to make at least one STD call each day. Local usage would not be terribly high. I would need the internet. Good bandwidth is something I wanted after having used BSNL internet for years.


Reliance had deployed a 24x7 helpdesk that would attend to complaints.


Booking:


Having had a nightmarish experience in booking a phone with with BSNL years ago, this was a quick affair. No waiting in queues, bribing touts or hanging around in shady buildings. Just go the the nearest Webworld and you should be on your way.


Unlike old times, getting a phone was not a two month affair.


I went to the Webworld a week later and brought it home.


Simply switch it on and you have a working Fixed Wireless Phone within 7 days of booking it.


Service


In the last year that I’ve used the service, I’ve never had any issues with the phone. I am always connected. The voice clarity is fantastic. Data transfer rates for internet are much better than any other. If you need better, you probably should go for true broadband.


The phone instrument comes with a portable handset.


Recently, however, I’ve had a small problem where I get a weird message saying ’’It is a fixed wireless phone and will work only at the address where it was initially installed at. Please contact the Contact Center.’’ I can still use the phone if I switch it off and on. Repeated complaints to Reliance Contact Center have not been that useful. I keep getting this problem intermittently.


Having said that, it doesn’t disrupt my usage in any way.


I do not need to run after a lineman or bribe anyone to get things done.


Billing


I get an itemised bill every month. Till now, the bill has been accurate. I have got what I expected.


Bill Payments are simple. and credit payments are accepted which works for me.
