On September 2003 We went for Wireless telephone connection of Reliance paying an advance of Rs1000/-. We went for this connection as they offered very good instrument and advanced features like high speed internet. However we faced lot of problems with their bills as paid amounts being not reflected in subsequent bills etc. So in May 2004, we decided to surrender the line.
When we went to surrender the line, we were told that the amount Rs1000 paid by me would not be adjusted. They said that we should have returned the instrument within 90 days to get back the deposit. They also told me that we have signed a paper to this effect. It is a common understanding
that the deposit is refunded when you pay your dues and return the instrument in condition.
They can print many one sided rules and ask us to sign. We also sign hoping that a big organization like Reliance would take the customers for a ride. But We understand inking that these are the standard rules, nothing abnormal.
Reliance is following such gimmicks. My sincere advice, please be careful about the rules of Reliance. You may be in for a rude shock. Better avoid Reliance.
