My sincere advice to all who will listen is to avoid buying Reliance India Mobile. Never have I encountered such abysmal standards of services in my life.
I have never been able to connect to a local BSNL number without trying for 5-10 times. It was on one or two rare occasions that I was able to connect to a mobile number. I have been using Reliance India Mobile for a week now but I was able to connect to their R-World only once.
Reliance had lost my cheque which I had issued at the time of order booking. They took a DD from me without compensating me for the amount lost in preparing a DD and stopping payment on my cheque. They even refused to apologise for this most unfortunate lapse. I was supplied with a Samsung phone whose charger was not working at the time of delivery. I had to run from pillar to post before activating my phone to get the charger replaced. Samsung service station did not have stock of a low value item like a charger. Samsung person told me that since the charger rarely failed, they did not keep stock of the same. I thought to myself that Samsung phones must be so poorly made that they needed to have large stocks of new phones! Also the phone supplied is so poor in features that it is a pain using that phone.
I have complained to Reliance a number of times both on telephone and by email but I have not received a single reply.
I consider myself a Reliance BAKRA and am very angry at myself for having fallen in to this well thought out trap. Hope this will enable you to take informed decisions.
