I purchased a Reliance Net Connect Broad Band ( Powai Center ) on last Thursday . The Events threafter :
Connection activated on Friday . To my horror the speed was so slow reminded me of my dial up connection 5 yrs ago.
Went to the Relaince Web World to demonstrate the pathetic speed . Was told among the many reasons that there is a network jam at the Web Store . One techncian claimed that by repeated usage the speed will improve and since the store shutter was half down ( closing time !! ) the speed would be slow.
On Saturday met the Store In Charge to demonstrate the speed . He assured me that he will escalate the speed issue and will attend to it . Suggested that I try out the unit at another location.
On Return repeatedly tried to connect but host computer was denying access . Put up a valiant effort on Sunday morning to connect without success . Made calls to Reliance Customer care every hour since morning for a standard reply that their computers were down and that I should call up after half an hour . Later attempts during day only gave an engaged tone of their Customer Care number.
Pleasently received a mail on Monday morning that my connection is now active and billing that would follow .
Dashed to my laptop to connect , went through the same ordeal of access denial . Called up their Customet Care to be told that my account has been deactivated and I should contact the Reliance Web Store .
Called up the Reliance Web Store to receive no response or resolution.
Reached the Web Store in the afternoon , tried convicing the Store Manager that the account has been deactivated and that I have been told to contact the Web Store . Just Could not get across to him.
THE ORDEAL IS OVER ALAS : Realising the futility of continuing with the ordeal have presented the Netconnect Broadband costing Rs 3500 and requested the Store Manager to dump it in his dust bin.
MY STOP LOSS HAS NOW BEEN RESTRICTED TO Rs3500 the cost of the unit which is now buried in the Store Managers Dust Bin.
Rest In Peace Reliance Net Connect ...
