I had bought Reliance Net connect Broadband+ USB Modem last month but from the day 1 speed is extremely slow. Thought Reliance claim that it can go upto 3.1 Mbps but actual speed is even less than dial up. One of the internet speed test available online through website https://internetspeedtest.in/ shows the internet speed as 29 kpbs even on Broadband mode. I have attached the screen shot of that.
I had made online complaint on 29th Apr 2011 on this but even after 10 days there was no response from them and online status of the complaint was solving. When I called Customer care the executive told me that as complaint is already lodged and is in solving status he cant do anything.I waited for few more days then wrote an email to Nodal officer on 15th May 2011 with the screen shots of speed test done over various days but still did not got any response.
Then I wrote an email to Appellate Authority on 19th May 2011 for which finally got an email response that on 21st May 2011 "we have tried to contact you but unable to contact as I dont have your alternate number. We request you to please provide the alternate number. So that one of our executive can speak to you." Which is absolutely false as I did not got any call from reliance on 21st May 2011 and 21st May 2011 being Saturday and my off day my phone is completely free. They have asked me to contact them at 01130320171 (Appellate number). Which I have tried for more than 1 hour from my mobile phone and landline but does not connect. Finally I have emailed them my other contact number lets see what happen.
My suggestion to members will be to avoid Reliance Netconnect and should ask for Demo for speed before buying any USB modem.
