Terrific to Terrible in 3 days.

It all started well. We bought a Reliance Broadband USB Modem. It was just what we needed as e-business owners who travel every now and then. Great speed, compatibility with both MAC and WiNDOWS, pleasant sales guy( oxymoron?). All was well in our little heaven.for 3 days.

We bought the USB device/mobile broadband.whatever you want to call it and went away on a brief 4 day holiday with assurance that we could connect to the world, if we needed to. And the card did work well. Good speed and steady connection. But the honeymoon with Reliance was soon over.

While away from Delhi, we got a call from the Reliance office saying they needed to verify our address. The conversation was brief and went like this-

We: Sure thing! We’ll be back in two days. You’re welcome to stop by.

Reliance chap: *OK.

Two days later the card stops working. We try everything- Nope, nothing budges.

We call our Oxymoron "Pleasant Sales Guy". He says he’ll call back. Do you think he called? No prize for guessing that one! So we call back and are told that the card has been disabled because "Reliance could not verify the address". Whoa!

It’s been a week since we have been back. We call Reliance, we call the oxymoron and we call ourselves fools for trusting Reliance. Looking at other reviews- Reliance clearly has a certain "Image" that everyone except Reliance( and until sometime back we) knew nothing about.

Will Reliance restore our service?

Will Reliance return our money, if they don’t do the above?

Does Reliance care enough to read its reviews?
