Pathetic customer service and support system

Even though connection speed was good when it was connected. But problem is out of 30 days, it is not available on 20 days.

If you lodge complain of no connectivity, they will log complain but do nothing. You call them after 3-4 days and you get a sweet reply that your complain is already resolved. Now for my surprise, my connection did not even work, nobody called me to find out whether connection is working or not, nobody visited my home for fixing connection and they somehow put it as resolved.

I asked them to reopen the complain as it has been falsely reported as resolved by their contractors (field engineers are on contract and paid for fixing per connection, so they sometimes put problem as resolved even though they did not even bother to put a call.)

Now comes the gem reply from them:Sir, we can lodge a new complain but no way to reopen a resolved issue (so much trust on a contract based field engineer and so much distrust on person who is paying them 850 rs per month for connection).

That creates another problem:

you keep on lodging new complain and your previous complain keeps on getting resolved without you even knowing that.

Now since you connection has not worked for last 2 months but you have a pending bill of 1700 and you are supposed to pay that.

So you go to billing department and lodge a complaint for waiver.

And reply from billing department:

Sir all your 30 complains in last 45 days has been resolved on time so we can not give waiver.

Those fools could not even understand the fact that if you have lodged 30 complains in 45 days, it means connection was not working. This whole issue arises because you can not reopen a (falsely) resolved issue. So billing department says we can not issue waiver as all your complains are being resolved on time.

Dear friends, now they are calling me and telling me to pay bills. But I have decided not to pay bill as I should be getting waiver. For 10 days it worked after some senior person from their technical department fixed the issue but now they have disabled connection saying that I have not paid bill.

Do suggest what I can do.It is a pity that you can not get a reliable broadband connection in Banglaore, the IT city of India.

Airtel - damn good but they are not expanding capactiy and it is already full wherever it is present.

Tata - They are putting advertisements that you can trust them even with your eyes closed but my experience with them shows that even if you are in touch with customer care service head (sitting in hyd, please ask for his contact number if you are being harassed by tata guys), you can not make it work for sure.

Reliance - you can check my review and other friend’s reviews.

Cable guys (Hathway, Satyam) - They charge hefty fees at beginning and then again they are not at all reliable.

Update: Few days back I got a call from reliance saying that I have to pay 800 rs bill. I told that I have put termination request one and half month back, why are you asking for bill now. She told all my charges has been waived off and now u hv to pay for only 1 month. I was quite happy with that as I did not get BSNL connection till now so I need some connection.

I checked connection at my home and found it was still active. So I started using it.

After 3 days, I get a call from somebody claiming to be from Reliance, saying when should he come for termination. As of now I have denied them. And for last 5 days, I m getting connection reliably.

Let us see how it goes.
