I was convinced to port my very old family health policy of 20 years with National Insurance Company to Religare Insurance. The premium was paid inJuly 2018 and Religare accepted my porting. Unfortunately in end Sept 2018 I had to be hospitalised and submitted my claim papers to Biswajit Biswas, the Religare agent in Kolkata. The claim was acknowledged and they wanted to interview me. But I was scheduled to go abroad for 2 months. Several mails were exchanged and I insisted to settle my claim. But they would not do anything unless I agree for interview. An appointment was fixed up by the agent and a confirmation call was made to me by the company. But ni one turned up at the scheduled time. The branch manager of Kolkata branch on Ideal Plaza kept rejecting my calls. The aforesaid Biswajit Biswas have now started avoiding my calls. Similar experience was reported by my uncle who also ported his policy and had a claim. Don’t trust this Religare Insurance Company and its agents. They are a fraud company
