My insurance policy number is - 10312255 and the claim number which I was allotted was 8686745-01.
I was experiencing pain due stone in my liver so I was admitted at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on 12th of July at 3 a.m. I was operated and I filed for reimbursement for the medical expenses. So I sent all the necessary documents to Religare. But my claim was rejected. They said that proper investigation and evaluation was not done and my vitals were normal. They said that I was admitted in a double bedded room which was not required and I should have taken OPD ticket for my treatment.
I told them that I was admitted in an emergency situation and at 3 a.m, OPD is not available and that admission was necessary. I even sent a letter on a letterhead which was signed by my doctor saying that the admission was required. But still my claim was rejected and the reason that they gave doesn’t make any sense at all.
I had to pay the whole medical expenses. What’s the point in paying the insurance bills when I cant even claim it?
