Titans is full of heart and soul.

Remember the Titans is one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. It is a wonderful family movie that is not only great to watch but it is a movie that your children can learn something positive from. Football Coach Bill Yoast, played by Will Patton, was demoted after leading his team to 15 victorious seasons. He was replaced by black coach Herman Boone, played by Denzel Washington. The setting is 1971 in a town torn apart by racism. Coach Boone has the ability to turn a bunch of hostile young men into a winning team, all the while teaching them about friendships and family. This of course spills over into the rest of the town and, although almost everyone learns to live together, there will always be those few who just can’t see the positive in anything.

Remember the Titans is a movie about real life and the struggles that everyone has gone through. This movie does not contain sex or shoot ’em up, kill ’em violence, just good ole’ competetive spirit. This is a movie that will become a part of my collection. I will not be able to forget this movie and will definitely be watching it again.

Remeber the Titans is rated PG, is 114 minutes long and is available on VHS and DVD.
