Avoid fraud timesofmoney quickremit remiyt2india

Ignore this review if you have already read my same review on timesofmoney which is parent company of remit2india.

I had a really bad experience in my dealings with quick remit(part of remit2india). I had transferred my money £2500(almost 2 lakh rupees) some 15 days back but I am still to get that money. It is such a horrible service. They have complete disregard for customer. Customer service and their processes are pathetic. I had transferred this money to their intermediary Deutsch bank account. But they are unable to trace my transferred money. I sent them at least 5 mails. Called 4 times. Customer service person is giving false promises that it will be done soon. I advise everybody to avoid remit2india, quickremit, indiaremit. You may lose your money.

If you look at their terms and conditions below they are horrible

  • only NRIs can transfer money, but all disputes will be settled only in Mumbai court. that is funny. so u have to fly to mumbai everytime.

  • 8.8 TOML does not guarantee that any instructions will definitely be performed. and TOML will not be responsible for any delay in  carrying out or performance of any instructions or transactions due to any reason whatsoever

  • 10 O  - THE REMITTANCE FACILITY IS PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. BANK MAKES NO WARANTEES. EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WITH RESPECT TO REMITTANCE FACILITY

  • 10 P - If you request the cancellation and refund of a previously requested remittance payment, TOML/Bank are under no obligation to process or honour such request.

In another incident - I transferred some money through remit2india for transfer to my IDBI bank. I sent remit2india at least 10 mails but no reply. Finally after 3 weeks I found their customer service number and called them. They told me that IDBI bank had not accepted remittance(but IDBI bank told they never received such request) and they processed request to my another(HDFC) account.

so if you want to transact with such company be prepared for

  • your money may completely gone and you can’t do anything about it

  • you have to fly to Mumbai to fight legal case

  • you have to make plenty of ISD calls to their customer center and send numerous mails

  • never be lured with their promotion offers. you will never get it

  • may be their exchange rate is 10 paise better than others, but it of anytime between 3 to 7 days after transaction. I always got lesser exchange rate than that of day of transaction. their must be a big scam - like they do bulk of their transaction on some days in a week when exchange rate is low.
