I am remit2india customer and even I had a bad experience using Remit2India services. I called the customer service and bombarded them and expressed my displeasure even to the management.
After speaking with management I came to know that the ACH transaction takes four working days to get completed after the funds gets debited from our bank account. so I calculate the working days and then I initiate the transfer so now if I want to book a remittance and wants the money to be sent at the earliest I go for online Wire Transfer which is a better option.
Remit2India follows the guidelines put forth by the RBI so they have the verification process in place so that the money laundering is avoided. Remit2India does not have any limitations of sending money we can send as much money we want and also book as many transactions.
As far as the ex-rate issue is concerned Remit2India is a service provide and they cannot go ahead and provide us with the same rate that is updated in the FOREX website. Only banks can do transfer as per the rate updated in the FOREX website as banks indulge in individual transferring of money and service provide transfers money in bulk.
So the rate applied will always be different, it is better to go with online wire transfer coz in the same we can assure that our transaction will be processed in the next working day and there wont be much fluctuations either.
