OLD is GOLD, Remixes r BOLD

ORIGINALITY

All directors and producers are copying from Old movies whether bollywood or Hollywood(Ocean’s 11 is a remake of a Marlon Brandon movie) so why isn’t anyone complaining about that?

None. What’s original in taking someone else music and adding beats to it.

Well the people who dance to it Love it. The Creator or old timers hate it. Can’t win both sides!

A Hindi or bhangra remix with hip hop is often the only time that a second generation desi kid will

Bother to pay attention to the music.

Remixing is actually a talent on its own, which is something you would admire if you had a mixer in front of you.

I?ve assisted my friends in a couple of parties and you will learn that there is no perfect song. it can always be made better.

THE PIONEERS

Remixes of old songs have been around for a long time since Bally Sagoo started it, and his music was graceful and his music videos then were not obscene.

My favourite is the’Choli ke peeche’ which was even re-mixed by a London Punjabi Dj and it was even better.

’Jalwa’ was a remix that created havoc in nightclubs, and is also one of my favourite remixes.

The daddy of all remixes Akbar Sami is one of the first to play Hindi and remixes in nightclubs that was dominated by western numbers. He was in Dubai last week and DAMN do tickets sell at his performance!

THE VIDEOS

Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar, Keh Doon Tumhe, Bin Tere Sanam, Kaanta Laga or Kaliyon Ka Chaman.

The ideas of making vulgar videos is Sex sells and for the Record companies to sell they need some raunchy videos to market.

Then these models do these videos in hopes to get movies as Kaliyon ka chaman girl Meghna Naidu was given’Hawas’(Scenes of her in the Red Telephone booth are opposite our office and trust me she nowhere near beautiful . so she needs to do videos and movies like this for a career!)

Then, does the new generation really adapt to 60’s or 70’s songs? Do they know them no they don’t. so this is a good way to Revive them BUT not supported by a obscene video.

The point of these videos is to sell the music but its creating a negative effect on the remixes and that is one of the reasons may ppl don’t appreciate it, coz they don’t agree with the videos.

THE REMIXES

If I was a little older by 10-15 years I would have listened to the originals but they are not of my age. Infact when I was young as 8-10 and all that music I heard in the 80’s I prefer it to be re-mixed.

If you had this urge to be a deejay u would really appreciate these remixes and see how they been given LIFE.

UNDERGROUND MUSIC SCENE

The Remixes supported by videos are legal bçoz they are released by music companies but many underground DJ’s are making some gr8 music by remixing but copyright infringement is definitely there.

Then with the Internet, it spread like wild fire with so many p2p sites that half the planet uses. And with CD burners so common every car will play it.

PUNJABI

Punjabi music no doubt was popularised by Daler pa-ji and soon every Hindi movie had to have one in it, whether it was required or not.

Punjabi’s in London have always been re-mixing and creating music in London but not popular ever, with Punjabi MC and now Rishi Rich & Juggy D, Punjabi music is the in-thing now.

Lebanese, Arabic, Spanish, Greek songs now have Punjabi-Mc’s Mundiya to bach ke rahi theme in it.

Hum Tum’s song was remixed by Juggy D and Rishi rich and they did a great job and now they have EYES ON ME which is amazing.

Listen to the Madonna and Britney no. MATM with the Punjabi remixes you won’t again wanna hear the original one.

Download some stuff like:

POWERLESS by Nelly

Craig David’s Punjabi remix(rise and fall) by Rishi rich

Knight rider Punjabi remix

Walou by Outlandish- Remix by Rishi Rich and Juggy D

Snoop dogg dog Punjabi remix

There’s a Punjabi Billy Jean remix which is wicked

Missy Elliot VS Punjabi MC

Emimem VS Punjabi Mc

REMIXES ARE ALL DEFINTELY REQUIRED FOR ANY PARTY!

Whether it?s remixing old songs to new or Punjabi mixes- it?s the hottest thing in each night club.
