You enter a pub/disc and hope to spend a nice evening with friends
Suddenly. there is a blaring’dhick chick dhaack chick’ blaring from the speaker right next to u.
Next thing you know, one of your all time favourites has been murdered by a dj doll, or a dj baby, or some dj(I can have a crazier name than u)
Well remixed music is somethin I am sure everyone has an opinion about.
I mean you have to. its something that is all around us these days. its almost like the foul smell comin from the unattended garbage can.
Is that a simile for the remix tracks doing the rounds these days?
Well I will leave that to ur imagination.
Well other revus in this category have gone on and on abt what a remix is .I take the liberty to assume that by now u all know what a remix is. so I am not goin down that road again.
Come to think of it. these songs are nothing but death unto music itself.
it looks as if all of indi pop seems to have run out of creativity.
its like a fight for survival of the crappiest. every dj says to the other hey I can beat u at ruinin that old classic.( and even gettin a kinkier name!)
really, even the so called bombay vikings(the band btw is very popular, had no idea abt that!) relies on remixes aka covers!
yeah right. call them whatever u want but the fact remains that the songs have been mutilated.
on the bright side(or so one remix lover tried to convince me). the new generation at least gets to hear abt the old classics. really?
the songs don’t sound half as good. so whats the point here huh?!
tho I am not all against remixes, some songs(english) do sound good, but they have been treated well. so they are way more tolerable.(or maybe I am just dhinchak on the inside.sigh. btw for this revu please note dhinchak means person who likes remix songs)
u want me to name an english remix? I love this one on total eclipse of the heart by nicki french, and take on me, the rock band pentagram has tried some remix songs, I heard them and they did sound decent.

another strong characteristic abt 50% of the remixes is the PUNJABI factor!
hey bhagwan half the world has gone punju. nothin wrong with that. but err. all songs dont go with that sort of a beat.
