Breach of Commitment by Renault Dealer, Avia Auto

I would like to bring to your kind attention that I booked a Duster RXL Adventure on 23rd March 2014 with a booking amount of Rs 25, 000.00. The above mentioned dealer gave a price of Ex Showroom Rs 11.79 lacs. Registration Rs 97, 200 and free insurance and Rs 20K discount. The final on road amount agreed was Rs. 12, 64, 0000. They promised that the vehicle will be delivered by 10th -15th April.


On 28th March, the my bank disbursed the dealer Rs 10, 60, 000.00. So as of 28th March, total amount paid to dealer was Rs. 10, 85, 000.00.


Since there was no information from the dealer about the delivery of the vehicle since 23rd March, I personally visited their showroom on 4th and met Ms Hema Dhayni, Sr. Sales Manager and she out rightly told me that  Renault has cancelled one order placed by them which they were not aware of and hence there will be more delay in delivery of the vehicle. She also mentioned that the company (Renault) has no policy  and she is facing lot of problem with customers. She asked me to write a complain mail to her, saying that she will use this to pressurize the company. I sent her a mail on the same date. (attached herewith).


Since then I have been repeatedly being contacted by the dealer. First they sent a SMS on 4th itself that 20K discount is not there and today they called up and said that the free insurance is also not there. Now when I contacted Ms Hema she is behaving very rudely and refusing to listen.


Renault is a very reputed international company and such irresponsible behaviour by its dealer is very much unacceptable. I have paid 92% of the value of the vehicle by March and now after realizing all the money(which is in dealer’s account and the dealer is earning interest on that), they are not only delaying the delivery of the vehicle, but also unethchandru021y changing the price every day. I am afraid that by the time the vehicle comes, they will come up with another excuse to extract more money.


Hence I fervently request you to kindly look into this matter and instruct the dealer to honour  their commitment. I believe as an international company of repute, it is very important that people do not loose trust on Renault because of such ill practices of the dealers.
