I am from Kolkata, I booked the kwid on 1st October and got the delivery on 31st December(around 1month late for Chennai floods).It costed Rs 415000 plus Rs 5000 for extended 2 year warranty plus Rs 15000 for accessories.Now coming to the car it has good looks and a variety of accessories are available.
That is how they have kept the cost of the car low by making these accessories optional.The interiors are average and the seats are okay sort of considering the segment.
The gearbox is very smooth and the brakes are perfect.Speedometer is easy to read and the media system is also superb, except for the quality of the speakers.Coming to the engine it makes little noises but it can be called smooth.But the mileage is not upto the mark .
On average it is giving 13-14 and a maximum of 16.2 in city and 19.8 on highways(have driven around 450 kms).The pickup of the car is similar to other 800 cc cars although pickup is more appreciable in the third gear.All the metallic shades are very good and it gives the feeling of a not so cheap car.The car is very light weight and the light steering is easy for city manuevering.Overall the eon still may give some competition to it but the alto is no match for it.Hope this will help .Thank You.
